Location: Talbot Trail Golf Club, 790 Talbot Trail East, Wheatly, ON N0P 2P0
Wage Rate: $55,000; negotiable based on experience.
Reports To: Board of Directors of Talbot Trail Golf Club

Education, Skills and Experience:
• Golf Course Operations experience; inclusive of Provincial and National membership knowledge.
• Food and Beverage/Bar Operations experience; inclusive of licensing, purchasing, stocking, service, and maintenance.
• Strong communication, customer service, organizational and decision-making skills.
• Accounting, Marketing and Advertising.
• Managing Custodial, Janitorial and Contractor Services.
• Must demonstrate supervisory experience.
• Previous Food & Beverage Management in is highly preferred and considered an asset.
• Strong computer and Point of Sale operating experience, systems include:
o Microsoft Office Suite
o Website Development and Maintenance
o Social Media (Facebook, Snap Chat, twitter, etc)
o Tee-On Golf Systems.
• The ability to prioritize a multitude of tasks and execute them in a timely manner, recognizing what takes priority.
• Able to stand and constantly move around for long periods of time.
• The ability to lift and/or move at least fifty pounds on a consistent basis.
• Current Smart Serve and Food Handlers Certification.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Club House Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all course and clubhouse activities for the club.
Hours of work will vary based on time of year and number of tournaments and special events.
Specific Duties:
- Administrative Duties:
a. Accounts Receivable and Payable,
i. Day to day banking.
ii. Mail.
iii. Working with the Club House Bookkeeper to ensure bills are being paid in a timely manner.
b. Working with the Club House Bookkeeper on payroll and CRA compliance.
c. Handle annual dues/fees and provide up to date lists for Board review.
d. Marketing and Advertising,
i. Maintain website and social media accounts.
ii. Prepare Current events updates and newsletters for membership.
e. Work with the Board to recommend Hiring and Discipline of Staff.
f. Maintain Golf Canada Liaison and standing.
g. Maintain a list of members in good standing.
h. Monthly Reports to the Board of Directors, during board meetings and/or as requested.
i. Coordinate league management duties with volunteers (Junior Golf, Men’s, Women’s, Senior’s, Couples, etc).
j. Annual Renewals (insurance, liquor license, business license, etc).
k. Annual Grant Funding requisitions. - Club House Operations:
a. Tee time management and marshalling.
b. Tournament planning, direction, and management, inclusive of purchasing prizes and providing food for tournaments and events.
c. Custodial and Janitorial services maintained daily, inclusive of,
i. Club House.
ii. Parking Lot.
iii. Cart Shed.
iv. Course Washrooms and Course “T-Shack”.
d. Maintain and Recommend Security measures for the club house and grounds.
e. Maintain alcohol inventories.
f. Keep up club house operations supplies (may include pick up and delivery).
g. Oversee Food availability throughout the season for daily operations, tournaments, and leagues (refer to Food Service under Staffing Supervision). - Staffing Supervision and Scheduling Coverage:
a. Bar Service.
b. Food Service (may include working with kitchen staff or coordinating with independent kitchen service provider).
c. Cart maintenance and cleaning.
d. Interior Course Services (pro shop, membership fees, daily greens fees).
e. Tournament, League and Event coverage. - Other Duties as Assigned.
The above is not all-inclusive. Some duties may be delegated to staff or contracted out as approved by the Board. Liaison to specific Board members on certain functions is essential. (Eg. Staffing, Finance, Marketing, Advertising, etc).
